My name is Julian Rota and we’ve been with BPI for well over 20 years.
The main element has been our pensions. But my business, which is in antiquarian book selling, that I run with my wife from home these days, has always been a bit of a rollercoaster. So, Peter has gone through some of those hard times as well as the good times.
I’m not knowledgeable about investment or property, and how these things really work. And so, Peter and BPI are the sort of guiding lights to steer us through.
I think what BPI does for us is to help us to feel financially secure. And with sensible plans in place for the future for our children, as well as for ourselves and for the business. The best thing about working with Peter over the years, there are a few that I’ve given equal importance to really. I mean, of course, you want to feel that you’re in a safe pair of hands, which I absolutely do. I think he’s extremely clever, he’s also very personable, and the personal touch is important to me.
He’s got a great team. It sounds like a trivial thing, but the fact that the phone is always picked up straightaway and you’ve got someone who knows what they’re talking about and is also very pleasant on the other end. Emails get answered pretty much immediately without fail and if it’s something I need to talk to Peter himself about directly, that’s never a problem either.
Would I recommend BPI and Peter to other people? Absolutely.
