We first opened our doors in 1999.
Our founding Directors, Nigel Copperwheat and Peter Fulcher, have more than 65 years’ combined sector experience, encompassing all areas of financial services. They felt that there was an absence of personalised service within the financial industry and their aim, with BPI, was to create a firm where clients felt at home and where high levels of professional service, jargon-free straight-talking and a friendly approachable team were the standard.
More than 20 years on and we’re delighted to say that many of our clients have been with us for the whole journey. We’ve built a reputation for creating fantastic client relationships, based on a thorough and detailed understanding of your financial hopes, needs, aspirations and objectives.
We take great pride in the service we provide, treating every client as we would want to be treated ourselves, always looking for new ways to add more value and provide greater support.

We recently asked our clients a question: What is the single biggest benefit you gain from working with us?
Here’s what they told us:
Charitable and community support
We believe in helping those less fortunate than ourselves and supporting our local community as much as possible. As part of that commitment, for the past four years, we’ve been supporting Helen and Douglas House with an annual donation.
Helen and Douglas House was the world’s only children’s hospice when it first opened its doors back in 1982. A home-from-home for local terminally ill children and their families, it provides round-the-clock care in a warm, loving environment.
Based in Oxford, but supporting families from surrounding counties and as far away as London, Helen and Douglas House care for terminally ill children at the hospice and through an outreach programme working with families in their own homes.
In addition to our annual donation, we were only too happy to offer help delivering hampers to patients and their families who were shielding at home during the Covid-19 lockdown.
